OK, so I know that this post is a bit tardy. Apologies all around.
Long story short, I showed up at the hospital to get my Dad's van only to find that his girlfriend's dog and cat had been using it as a toilet for about 3 weeks AND the starter was broken, so it would need to be push started every time I wanted to go somehwere. Needless to say I drove off that night in my trusty Hyundai and slept in my own warm bed.
I have since moved into a new apartment. It is $200 more per month, but I have my own bathroom and a dishwasher, and a roommate who seems really cool and she has a dog. Sounds like a good deal, I think. The van plan is on hold, but I am not yet ready to give it up entirely. I am sure you will hear about it if it starts up again.
One last thing I wanted to leave you with is a song lyric from the most talented Josh Ritter. It talks about my color eyes, and being the narcissistic person that I am I couldn't help but loving it (not to mention that Josh Ritter happens to be an excellent and talented lyricist)!
Your eyes were so patient and calm,
Green as the grass that might grow on the 23rd Psalm.

I love the song lyric! And, the mom in me is glad you are not moving into a van. :)
